Microecology and Molecular Pharmacology Research Team
The Microecology and Molecular Pharmacology Research Team at Tianjin University of Science & Technology, relying on the university's advantageous disciplines, focuses on the prevention and treatment of chronic metabolic diseases, cardiovascular diseases, tumors, and other illnesses, as well as the demands of the grand health industry. It conducts scientific research and educational activities centered around the elucidation of microecology and health regulation mechanisms, resource exploration and bioanalysis, molecular modification and synthetic biology, bioprocessing, and the development of functional products. The team currently comprises 11 faculty members, including 2 Tianjin Specially-Appointed Professors, 5 recipients of the Tianjin "131" Talent Program award, and 7 individuals with overseas experience. The team has successively led over 60 projects, such as those funded by the National Key Research and Development Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. It has published more than 100 SCI papers, obtained 38 authorized patents, and developed 1 national first-class course. The team has received numerous scientific research and educational awards, including the Second Prize of Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award, the Special Prize of Tianjin Food Science and Technology Innovation Award from Tianjin Food Association, and the Special Prize of Tianjin Teaching Achievement Award. Additionally, the team has received multiple collective honors, such as the Tianjin "131" Innovative Team and the Tianjin Higher Education Institution Innovative Team.
